Investing
There can be situations when your Luminor Investor account can turn in negative balance.
This could happen when:
- You have Investor platform accounts opened in multiple currencies (for example EUR and USD accounts) and you purchase securities nominated in USD, but you do not have sufficient cash balance in USD account, but at the same time EUR balance is sufficient to cover respective purchase. Then that USD account will go into negative balance. If you want to cover the negative balance you can transfer additional cash to account with negative balance or to transfer money out from account with positive balance and then transfer in to the account with negative balance. Instructions on how to make money transactions can be found here.
- You withdraw money before settlement date. Remember, after selling position trade settlements always take some time (usually 2-3 working days), to avoid additional commission you can check settlement date in Luminor Investor section Orders.
