Can I apply for Luminor Investor platform, if I’m not Luminor customer?

To open a Luminor Luminor Investor investment account, you must first be a Luminor customer and have a bank account with them. For more details on how to open an account, visit our website here. 

How can I sign Luminor Investor agreement?

Agreement can be signed:

  • digitally via Luminor internet bank -  Agreement is available under Deposits and investments / Financial instruments / Open Luminor Investor account
  • digitally using eSignature / Dokobit
  • by visiting Customer service centers of your choice

How can I renew my password or restore my login details?

It can be easily done through our Customer Support by phone +371 6717 1880 or by sending us free form message via internetbank.

When it may be suitable to use an investment account with Luminor Investor?

Investment account may be suitable for you if:

  • You are an active investor and plan to invest in financial instruments on a regular basis
  • You intend to invest only a lump-sum, but after a while plan to invest more or sell some of it
  • You want to reinvest gained income

What are Luminor Investor pricing plans?

These are the plans that charge a fixed commission fee, regardless of which European or US stock exchanges you are trading on.

Choose the plan that best suits your trading profile: Basic or Elective. Learn more here.

Which plan is applied to my transactions, if I do not take any actions to change it?

Starting from 1st of July, 2025, we will apply the Base plan fees to all customers.

When should I consider the Elective plan?

If your average transaction amount is more than EUR or USD 5,000, the Elective plan will be a more budget-friendly option.

How can I change my plan?

You can change the pricing plan every 4 months by filling an application.

How often can I change the plan?

You can change your pricing plan every 4 months.

In which stock exchanges Luminor Investor pricing plans are valid?

The pricing plans are valid in these stock exchanges: 

  • In US: American Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, NASDAQ (Small Cap), New York Stock Exchange, New York Stock Exchange (ARCA).
  • In Europe: Deutsche BORSE (XETRA), London Stock Exchange, London Stock Exchange (IOB), NASDAQ OMX Helsinki, Euronext Lisbon, Borsa Italiana/Milan Stock Exchange, Euronext Amsterdam, Euronext Brussels, Euronext Paris, BME Spanish Exchanges, Vienna Stock Exchange, Oslo Stock Exchange, NASDAQ OMX Stockholm, NASDAQ OMX Stockholm (First North), SIX Swiss Exchange, SIX Swiss Exchange (Bluechip), NASDAQ OMX Copenhagen, NASDAQ OMX Copenhagen (First North).

How can I see what fees will be applied to my transactions?

How can I check my historical trading activity and the average order amount?

Your trading activity report is available on the Luminor Investor platform / Portfolio / Transactions.

  • The same business day, if the funds are transferred till 15:00

Why do I have a negative balance in my Luminor Investor account?

There can be situations when your Luminor Investor account can turn in negative balance.

This could happen when:

  1. You have Investor platform accounts opened in multiple currencies (for example EUR and USD accounts) and you purchase securities nominated in USD, but you do not have sufficient cash balance in USD account, but at the same time EUR balance is sufficient to cover respective purchase. Then that USD account will go into negative balance. If you want to cover the negative balance you can transfer additional cash to account with negative balance or to transfer money out from account with positive balance and then transfer in to the account with negative balance. Instructions on how to make money transactions can be found here.
  2. You withdraw money before settlement date. Remember, after selling position trade settlements always take some time (usually 2-3 working days), to avoid additional commission you can check settlement date in Luminor Investor section Orders.

Can I buy securities in different currency than my main account?

Yes, you can. But it is important to note, that when investing into instruments quoted in different currencies, currency conversion is made with 0.5% margin.

Is it possible to have access to real time market data?

Private clients can order additional access to real time data in the subscriptions menu based on the pricelist available in the platform. If you decide to order real time data, please select level 1 data for Private Investors. Additional charges are applied for professional/institutional clients.

Does company need a LEI code in order to invest via Luminor Investor?

LEI code is obligatory for corporate clients. Private individuals do not require LEI code.

How can I open additional Luminor Investor account in different currency?

In order to open additional account in different currency (USD / GBP / NOK / SEK / DKK) please send us free form message via internetbank.

Is the deposit insurance scheme applicable to the funds deposited on Luminor Investor account?

No. Instead, the insurance of liabilities to investors’ scheme is applicable to the funds held on Luminor Investor platform. The maximum compensation of the insurance of liabilities to investors is 20 000 EUR.

How to terminate my Luminor Investor contract?

Ensure that there is no cash, assets, pending payments or subscriptions in your Luminor Investor account, and provide a free form letter via Internet bank, or in a branch to close your Luminor Investor account.
